What is the difference between cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing?
Cleaning removes dust and grease. Disinfecting reduces germs on surfaces using a suitable chemical. Sterilizing, in the strict medical sense, means removing all microorganisms, and that happens in hospitals with special equipment, not in an ordinary home. So when we say sterilization for a home or office, we mean disinfecting its surfaces and important areas the right way.
Disinfectant is not magic. It has to go on a clean surface and stay wet for the time printed on the container to work. A quick wipe without that wait leaves a clean smell more than it disinfects. And a strong smell is no proof of a stronger result.
Disinfection is also a different service from pest control. If you have cockroaches or rodents, disinfectant will not solve the problem. The pest has to be treated first, and then we disinfect the contaminated surfaces.
